My Sengoku Basara One Coin figures turned up last week. Nobody was around, so the postal worker decided to leave a note saying it had been left in the wheelie bin, which was a slightly odd thing to do with a parcel, but at least I didn’t have to arrange for a redelivery. The first one I opened was Date Masamune, which I was definitely happy about. I love the way they stylise characters for the SD-type One Coin figures, and Masamune looks quite adorable. He has all six of his swords, although only one is drawn, and like all the figures he comes with a little banner that fits into the base. Second one was Mori Ranmaru, which was kind of meh. I might trade or failing that sell him off at some point, once enough of the figures have circulated that other people will have figures to trade. I’ve kept him in the plastic casing for now, with only the box opened.

I also received my Black Rock Shooter merchandise from HLJ. I got the black mug, but they made something of a mistake with the notebook. I ordered what was labelled as ring note B, but received what is labelled ring note A according to their site. I likely can’t do anything about it because I had already taken off the plastic wrap by the time I noticed, and I guess it’s okay because they’re both nice, but it was puzzling nevertheless. I’m thinking it probably has to do with the fact that the back of the notebook I got does actually say it’s the B version, so HLJ must have mislabeled the ones on their site but not their actual stock. Then again, I don’t know if anyone else had the same issue, so it might have just been a mistake with my order. I’m not sure whether to drop them an email or not – there’s nothing that can really be done for my order, but if it saves other people’s orders it might be worthwhile?

And now for a tiny rant. I really liked some of the BRS t-shirts as well, but when I looked at Hobby Search who unlike HLJ actually stocked small, even the small was too big for me! I guess that’s what comes from being 5′5″ and really scrawny, but I was surprised by their measurements – I compared them with a US t-shirt company that I really like, and found that although the American men’s small was longer than the Cospa small, it was quite a bit narrower. Now, the shirts from the aforementioned store that I bought are already rather large on me, and the length isn’t a problem but the width is, so I thought if I get something any wider it will just look silly on me. I guess my shoulders are to blame – I’d guess that they’re broad by the standards of a female body but maybe a bit narrow-ish, or average at best by the standards of a male body, which means I tend to look awkward in anything but very gender-neutral, fairly small clothes, ^^;
