My name is Robin, or you can call me by Selidor, my usual screen name . I am twenty-one years old, British and a university student majoring in Japanese language and culture. From August 2009 until August 2010 I studied abroad at the University of Tsukuba in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan and I am currently back in the UK finishing my degree.
I am transgender, and identify as genderqueer, which means that I do not identify as either male or female. If referring to me in the third person, please use ‘they/them/their’ rather than gender-specific pronouns. I am a feminist and a supporter of equal rights, and this will be reflected in the way I respond to serious discussions on my blog, and on internet communities.
I have been a fan of anime and manga for over six years, and have been collecting figures seriously since August 2008. I am especially fond of articulated figures like Figma and Nendoroid, but I also have a growing collection of static figures, and a number of smaller trading figures. A also collect Asian ball-jointed dolls when I can afford them. I currently own a Volks F-17 SD13 boy and a LUTS KDF Bory.
Outside of collecting merchandise, my primary hobby is drawing. I currently have a BL webcomic running at Smackjeeves.
I am also a keen reader of fantasy and sci-fi novels, particularly those featuring LGBT themes, and I sometimes write fiction in my free time, particularly during November.
This blog contains primarily photographs of figures, dolls and of the places I visited in Japan, and will occasionally cover more personal things, or critical analysis of the media I enjoy from an LGBT and feminist perspective.
